Crackdown on Toxic Oil Factories Begins in Okara l Illegal Oil Factory Sealed in 28/2R; Authorities Vow Zero Tolerance Against Substandard Production

Okara (GN Ghalib News, Bureau Chief Javed Rahi)
On the direct instructions of Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed, the tehsil administration launched a decisive operation against illegal and hazardous oil factories operating in the Okara district.

In a targeted action, Assistant Commissioner Rab Nawaz, accompanied by officials from the Punjab Food Authority and the Environment Department, raided a private oil factory located in village 28/2R. The raid revealed that the facility was producing oil using substandard and foul-smelling raw materials, posing a severe risk to both public health and the environment.

The illegal oil unit was immediately sealed on the spot. The Assistant Commissioner ordered the Food Authority and the Environment Department to initiate strict legal proceedings against the factory owners involved in this unlawful practice.

Speaking to the media, Assistant Commissioner Rab Nawaz stated, “Strict action will be taken against all factories involved in the manufacture of substandard and illegal oil. Only those oil units that strictly follow hygiene and safety standards will be allowed to operate.”

He further emphasized that the preparation of oil from environmentally harmful and low-grade material is not only dangerous to human health but also a major environmental threat. “Such factories are enemies of public health, and we will not allow them to operate,” he added.

The crackdown signals a firm commitment from the district administration to cleanse the food production sector of unhealthy practices and to uphold public safety at all costs.
