In a bold move to safeguard public health and the environment, the district administration of Okara has launched a major crackdown on illegal and hazardous oil manufacturing units. Acting on direct orders from Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed, the tehsil administration carried out a successful raid on a private oil factory in village 28/2R.

🚨 Substandard Raw Materials Discovered

Led by Assistant Commissioner Rab Nawaz, and assisted by officials from the Punjab Food Authority and the Environment Department, the inspection team discovered that the factory was producing oil from low-quality and foul-smelling materials, posing serious health hazards and environmental threats.

The illegal factory was immediately sealed, and strict legal action has been initiated against its owners.

💬 Official Statement

Speaking to media, AC Rab Nawaz stated:

“Only those factories will be allowed to operate that comply with hygiene and safety standards. The use of harmful raw materials in oil production is not only illegal but a direct threat to public health.”

He emphasized that the district administration is adopting a zero-tolerance policy toward such unlawful practices.

The action marks the beginning of a wider operation to cleanse the local food production sector from substandard and dangerous oil processing units. Authorities have pledged to conduct further inspections and ensure accountability across the region.
