Public Welfare is Top Priority — Deputy Commissioner Okara

Okara (GN Ghalib News, Bureau Chief Javed Rahi) — A high-level meeting of district administration officials was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed to review and enhance public service delivery mechanisms in the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Hafiz Muhammad Omar Tayyab, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Chaudhry Abdul Jabbar Gujjar, Assistant Commissioner Okara Rab Nawaz, Deputy Director Development Marghub Hussain Dogar, Deputy Director Local Government Shahbaz Sukhera, Sub-Divisional Enforcement Officer Waseem Javed, and SNA Afzal Hussain.

During the session, Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed emphasized the urgent need to fully implement the good governance vision set forth by the Chief Minister of Punjab. He instructed all officers to ensure that maximum facilities are provided to the public and that service delivery is enhanced at all levels.

He further stressed that officers must remain active in the field, not just as administrators but as facilitators of public welfare. He said that solving the problems of the people and improving their quality of life is the foremost responsibility of every government official.

The Deputy Commissioner noted that significant and revolutionary initiatives are being undertaken in sectors like health, education, and local development. He directed that the monitoring of these services must be consistent and effective, with every officer taking full ownership of their responsibilities.

The meeting concluded with a collective resolve to continue working in line with the vision of people-first governance and to bring real change at the grassroots level through commitment, transparency, and accountability.
