Best Facilities Will Be Ensured for Mourners on 9th and 10th Muharram — DC Ahmed Usman Javed

Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed and District Police Officer Rashid Hidayat conducted a detailed inspection of the arrangements for the main mourning procession in Kohla in connection with Muharram-ul-Haram.
They were accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Rab Nawaz, senior police officials, and the organizers of the mourning procession and majalis.
During the visit, DC Ahmed Usman Javed personally reviewed the facilities provided to the mourners, including drinking water, lighting, cleanliness, and emergency health services. He issued clear directives to the officers of all concerned departments to ensure the provision of municipal services, medical cover, and all other necessary facilities during the 9th and 10th of Muharram.
Deputy Commissioner emphasized that, under the special directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, all possible steps are being taken to facilitate mourners and to ensure peaceful conduct of Ashura activities.
He added, “The goal of all these efforts is to conduct Ashura peacefully, respectfully, and with complete security.”
DPO Rashid Hidayat also issued instructions to the police personnel on duty, stating, “Security personnel must remain alert and ensure the safety of all mourners. No individual should be allowed to enter the procession without thorough checking.”
The organizers of the procession expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Punjab for the excellent arrangements and support, praising the administration's commitment and coordination for a smooth Ashura.
