Stuffed Bhindi l Cooking l Cooking Recipe

This is a delicious and spicy variation where the Bhindi is stuffed with a masala mixture.

Ingredients:

  • 250g Bhindi (okra)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp gram flour (besan)
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp amchur (dry mango powder)
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry the Bhindi. Cut off the ends and make a slit lengthwise in each Bhindi.
  2. In a bowl, mix gram flour, turmeric, coriander, cumin, amchur, garam masala, and salt.
  3. Stuff this spice mixture into the slit Bhindi.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
  5. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  6. Add the stuffed Bhindi and cook on low heat until the Bhindi is tender and the spices are well roasted.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
