This is a classic North Indian dish, which is both flavorful and easy to make.

Ingredients:

  • 250g Bhindi (okra)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 onion, finely sliced
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry the Bhindi. Cut off the ends and slice it into 1-inch pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
  3. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  6. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir well.
  7. Add the Bhindi and salt. Cook on medium heat until the Bhindi is tender and fully cooked.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
