Bhindi Masala
This is a classic North Indian dish, which is both flavorful and easy to make.
Ingredients:
- 250g Bhindi (okra)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 onion, finely sliced
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- Wash and dry the Bhindi. Cut off the ends and slice it into 1-inch pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Stir well.
- Add the Bhindi and salt. Cook on medium heat until the Bhindi is tender and fully cooked.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
