Ex-Wife of Late TV Host Aamir Liaquat Hussain Seeks Government Protection After Receiving Death Threats Over Second Marriage

Daniya Shah, the ex-wife of renowned Pakistani TV host Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, and her current husband Hakeem Shahzad have sought government security after receiving threats of serious consequences, including death, for their second marriage. The Multan High Court has taken up their petition and sought a response from the Deputy Commissioner and CPO Multan.

Daniya Shah, the ex-wife of late TV host Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, has been receiving threatening calls from international numbers, warning her of severe consequences for remarrying. She and her husband, Hakeem Shahzad Ahmed, have petitioned the Multan High Court for government security.
During the hearing, the petitioner stated that despite reporting the threats to relevant institutions, no security has been provided yet. They are willing to pay for the security expenses and have applied to the Home Secretary, Punjab, for protection.

The threats include demands for Hakeem Shahzad to divorce Daniya immediately, or face being shot dead. Daniya Shah was first married to Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, and after his passing, she married Hakeem Shahzad Ahmed after completing her Idda period.

The Multan High Court bench, led by Justice Asim Hafeez, has sought a response from the Deputy Commissioner and CPO Multan on September 17 regarding the provision of security to Daniya Shah and her husband.
