CCD Punjab denies any involvement in the viral lists shared on social media, clarifying that it operates only on legal evidence and has not issued any such data.
Okara (GN Ghalib News Online – Bureau Chief Javed Rahi):
A number of alleged lists are being circulated across various social media platforms, with claims suggesting that these have been compiled by the Counter Crime Department (CCD). However, CCD Punjab has firmly denied any involvement in the creation or distribution of such lists.
In a clear statement, CCD officials emphasized that the organization does not issue or prepare lists of any kind. Instead, the department operates strictly within the framework of the law, relying solely on credible evidence and verified testimonies for all actions and investigations.
CCD Punjab, which works under the umbrella of Punjab Police, has rapidly gained respect and credibility in society due to its lawful and transparent operations. Unfortunately, this reputation has led to false attributions by individuals seeking attention or popularity online.
Some vloggers and social media influencers are using the name of CCD to boost their online engagement by referring to fabricated "lists." CCD clarified that there is no official list within their records and any such claims are baseless and misleading.
The department has warned the public against falling for these fake narratives and advised social media users to verify any CCD-related information only through official channels.
