During the inspection, officers from the Municipal Committee provided a detailed briefing on ongoing efforts to drain accumulated rainwater. DC Okara Directs Swift Action for Low-Lying Areas
Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Usman Javed issued strict instructions to expedite drainage operations, particularly in low-lying areas prone to waterlogging. He emphasized prioritizing public convenience and ensuring swift water removal to prevent disruptions.
"Steps should be taken on a priority basis for the early drainage of rainwater to minimize public inconvenience," stated DC Ahmed Usman Javed.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed authorities to maintain continuous cleaning of manholes and sewer lines across the city to facilitate smooth water flow. He stressed the need for administrative officers to actively supervise drainage operations in all areas.
"Administrative officers must oversee all measures to ensure rainwater is effectively drained from every part of the city," he added.
